I started to put together a recipe for malted milk cookies. I think it could use some tweaks but my husband says, “ohh, they’re so good.” They’re buttery, crispy, and chewy. I can’t wait to share it with everyone. It’s the first recipe I’ve actually wrote down that I’ve made.
The other night Wesley, my husband, informed me I need to get more creative with my pictures. He was looking at our camera and said they were boring. So, this is my first attempt to being more creative.
Malted Milk Cookies
1 c. butter, room temperature
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 T. milk
1 t. vanilla extract
1/2 c. malted milk
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
2 c. all-purpose flour
5 oz. box of whoppers, coarsely chopped
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix together the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the milk, egg, vanilla, and malted mix and continue mixing until just combined. In a separate bowl, add salt, baking powder, baking soda, and flour. Combine flour mixture into the wet mixture. Stir in the coarsely chopped whoppers. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until the edges are lightly brown.
Mine yielded about three dozen with a small cookie scoop.
